A Brazilian Miss BumBum contestant, who lost her leg when she was run over by her jealous ex-lover, has taken part in her first ever modelling shoot.
29-year-old Brazilian Miss BumBum contestant, Rubia Machado, who made history when she became the first disabled entrant to take part in the world famous contest, said she was trying to “break prejudices” as she posed topless in just a black thong.
The beauty model who is representing her state of Tocantins, lost her leg when she was run over by her jealous ex, and has taken part in her first ever modelling shoot.
While speaking in an exclusive interview with The Sun UK, she said: “It was difficult after what happened but I had to turn my life around and keep going. I am just as much of a woman as the other girls and I am trying to break prejudices.”
She added: “I had never done a s*xy shot before. I felt very s*xy. This is a dream come true”.
Rubia was left in a critical condition when she was run over by her vicious ex-boyfriend ten years ago.She recalled how her former lover drove straight at her and one of her legs was dragged under the car.
Doctors were forced to amputate her leg in order to save her life following the horror smash. She says she never got the justice she deserved because her ex was under the age of legal responsibility at the time of the attack.
She turned to fitness as she recovered to make herself as strong as possible and now has set her sights on the BumBum title.
“I want to teach people with disabilities that they should never give up, that they should trust themselves and focus on what they really want. You should look in the mirror and feel that you are perfect, that is what I have been doing since the accident.”
