When you hear about naked people your mind takes you back to pre-historic times when civilization was absent. But it will shock you to know that there are tribes in Nigeria that still go about naked.
Why these tribes have decided to cut themselves from civilization is a topic for another day.

The Kambari People of Niger

The Kambari tribe is a remote community in Birnin Amina in Rijau Local Government Area in Niger state where people go about naked. They are a forgotten tribe and they lack any form of government support.
According to a chief in the community, “In this community it is normal for an old man to marry a teenager also brothers marry sisters as they find it difficult to mix with other tribes.
Moving around naked or half-naked is our culture and we don’t care what people say about us. We are comfortable that way because we find it normal.
What attracts men is not nudity. Our men are attracted by how women plait their hair, good manners and the tattoos the young ladies have.”
Jibu People
The Jibu people are a naked tribe that was discovered in 2006. They are descendants of the Kwarafa Kingdom who lived for centuries in nine communities scattered around the mountains in Gashaka local government of Taraba state.
The jibu people lived in the Kwafara Kingdon until the Fulani Jihadist invaded the kindgdom. They were said to run up the mountains and since then it has remained their permanent settlement.
The Jibu people are neither Christians nor Muslims. Rather, they believe in their own gods and the ancestors.
Koma people
Koma people are indigenous hill-dwelling people occupying the Alantika Mountains in northern Adamawa State in Nigeria and in Northern Cameroon at southwestern side (Faro National Park ) of the border with at Adamawa State..
