The "Send Down The Rain" crooner, who made waves with his music in the late 80s and mid 90s with his image of reggae music, said while the present age of artists make great sound, they could improve the situation.

In a meeting with HipTV, Majek was cited as saying the present product of vocalists don't make great sounds yet just melodies that individuals can 'stick' to.
He stated:
"I influence sound while all these youthful artists to make stick, I make great sound however they are continually sticking, they don't make great sound, they simply stick.
My tune 'Send down the rain' was made more than thirty years prior, yet in the event that you hear it out today, you will understand that the sound will engage both the old and similarly the youthful ones in light of the fact that the sound is great and still important today, that is something the youthful artists don't have".

In a subsequent visit with E-Daily, Majek clarified that his announcement in the meeting with HipTV wasn't intended to underrate or affront youthful artistes, however a protective support to enhance their specialty by making great sounds that will outlast them.
He stated:
"I didn't intend to affront, underrate, slight or belittle any youthful Nigerian artiste; what I did was to express the self-evident.
