An Osun High Court sitting in Osogbo has condemned a 45-year-old man, Moshood Babatunde, to 11 years detainment for unlawful ownership of a human head.
Babatunde, who was captured on Oct. 13, 2011 was accused of unlawful ownership of human skull, profane show of human cadaver, offer of human parts and utilization of human parts for charms, NAN reports.
The Chief judge, Kudirat Akano, while conveying her judgment, condemned Babatunde to seven years detainment on the primary charge, two years for the second charge, and an additional two years for the third charge.
Akano said that she was persuaded past sensible uncertainty tainty that the blamed conferred the offense in see for the gigantic confirmation exhibited by the indictment direct.
Akano, in any case, said that the sentences would run simultaneously.
The Osun Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Ajibola Bashiru, who summoned the suspects, had told the court that Babatunde was captured on Oct. 13 for carrying out the wrongdoing.
Bashiru said that the offenses were in opposition to Sections 516, 242(1)(b), 329A(1) and 242 (b) of the Criminal Code Law, Cap.34, Volume. II, Laws of Osun State, 2002.
