Court Stops Police From Arresting Dancing Senator Adeleke

An Osun State High Court sitting in Ejigbo has granted an order restraining the police from arresting the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The police had on Wednesday asked Adeleke to appear at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on the allegation of certificate forgery but President Muhammadu Buhari’s intervention stopped the police’s summon on the candidate.
However, Justice Yinka Aderibigbe gave an order that Adeleke should not be arrested pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit filed before him by Adeleke.
The order was given following an ex parte application made before him by Adeleke’s counsel, Mr Kanmi Ajibola.
A copy of the interim order was made available to journalists in Osogbo by the Head of the Media Team of Adeleke Campaign Organisation, Mr Banidele Salam.
Meanwhile, the PDP has raised the alarm on the alleged planned arrests of key chieftains of the party by the police on trump-up charges ahead of the Saturday governorship election in Osun State, with a view to give the APC-backed by the Presidency an undue advantage.
