HEAR WORD! the critically acclaimed play which shares multi-generational stories of the trials and triumphs of Nigerian women is back, and this time with a twist.This news comes just after the group recently completed a Lagos, New York, California and Germany tour, which also included six shows at the world-renowned Public Theatre in New York City; the Segerstrom Center in California and the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. The international tour starred ten notable Nigerian actresses including Nollywood’s Joke Silva, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Elvina Ibru, Ufuoma McDermott and more. Now, in order to reach a far broader audience in Nigeria, the show’s producer and director Ifeoma Fafunwa have finished work on a refreshed Hear Word! in English language and a full pidgin version of the original show and casting all new performers. “After our recent tour, Hear Word! is back with refreshing stories that mirror Nigerian women and their everyday battles. And with Hear Word! Pidgin, we aim to inspire more of our targeted audience most especially at the grassroots using Pidgin-English in communicating our message of enlightenment." says Ifeoma Fafunwa, the producer and director, Hear Word! 
The pidgin show opens at the National Theatre, Iganmu on the 2nd and 3rd of March, 2019 and daily showtimes are 1 pm and 5 pm while Hear Word! English with a star-studded cast comprising Joke Silva, Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett, Ufuoma McDermott, Elvina Ibru, Odenike, Zara Udofia-Ejoh, Rita Edward, Omonor, Deborah Ohiri and Oluch Odii is billed for 7th of March, 2019 at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos by 7 PM.
