9JAMILKFEST: A Celebration of World Milk Day with Arla Dano®

On Saturday, June 1st, Arla Dano® powered the 18th celebration of world milk Day in Nigeria. Arla Dano® has continued to raise awareness on the importance of milk and its essential nutrients in healthy nutrition with the annual celebration of the World Milk Day. Arla Dano® incorporated this year’s global theme; “Enjoy Dairy; It’s Good Nutrition” into their celebration with the theme, “9jaMilkFest”, encouraging all Nigerians to join in celebrating the goodness of milk. Last year, Arla Dano® celebrated the occasion with the theme “Raise a Glass, Nourish Naija” by setting a Guinness World Record for the “Longest Drink Pouring Relay”. The global World Milk Day body-the global dairy platform recognized this achievement. This year’s celebration kicked off on Arla Dano®’s social media handles with a friendly call on other milk brands to join in celebrating the goodness of milk. The callout was also extended to other brands that complement milk. Also, on Children's Day, volunteers from the brand’s Moms corner platform, celebrities like Rachael Okonkwo, Funnybone, and SLK joined Arla Dano® to visit children in parts of Lagos, Ibadan and Enugu to give them the opportunity to enjoy the nourishment of milk. On June 1st, guests, consumers and dairy lovers were in high spirits as Arla Dano® hosted them in grand style with a Farm-themed party celebration at the Ndubuisi Kanu Park where farm cows, hay, horses, sawdust and pitchforks were displayed. The theme was a clear illustration of the Dano parent company, Arla as a farmer-owned company, to showcase its values, mission and vision in their process from grass to glass. The event was hosted by Funnybone and Larry Foreman, while the red-carpet event was hosted by Chuey Chu. A-list celebrities Juliet Ibrahim, Derenle and many more graced the event, as the guests enjoyed the thrilling performances of Reekado banks, Chinko Ekun, Kenny Blaq and Ric Hassani. Chef Zeelicious also tempted the palates of guests with mouth-watering Arla inspired meals and dairy-based refreshments made from Arla butter and Cheese slices. To add to the fun and excitement, lots of fun games for adults and children engaged guests.
