Indigent girls and women in a certain area in Lagos were denied free pads by the area boys in the area because the kind hearted Nigerians who went to distribute the pads didn't "settle" them first. According to Lolo Cynthia, the area boys demanded to be paid 20,000 Naira by the Good Samaritans before they can be allowed to give their girls and women free pads. They threatened to cause a commotion if their request wasn't granted. As a result, the group couldn't continue with their good works. "Outreach was cancelled today because area boys in the community demanded that we pay them 20k before we can share pads to the girls and women.. If we didn't oblige, they promised to scatter the whole thing Tired," Cynthia wrote.
