Bello Shagari, grandson of former President Shehu Shagari, has cautioned Nigerians calling for the breakup of the country. In a twitter thread he posted this morning, Bello said anyone calling for Nigeria's breakup is unjust to the people who lost their lives during the civil war that lasted from from July 6th 1967 to January 15th 1970. Some Nigerians however disagreed with him on this. Some pointed out that what happened between 1967 and 1970 was a genocide and not a civil war. See his tweet and reactions below..
