Court bars Kano anti-graft agency from investigating Emir Sanusi lindaikejisblogKano state’s Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has been barred from investigating the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi pending the hearing of an appeal filed by the monarch. Justice Lewis Allogoa of the Federal High Court in Kano who issued an injunction on Friday March 6, ordered the maintenance of a status quo pending the hearing of the matter. This came after the commission insisted on investigating Emir Sanusi over alleged sale of landed properties belonging to Kano Emirate. Emir Sanusi however dragged the commission to court and sought for an order to restrain it from investigating him over alleged land racketeering to the tune of N2.2billion. The order, dated March 6, 2020 and signed by Justice Allogoa, reads in part: “The status quo be maintained in the interim pending the hearing and determination of the originating motion." The judge adjourned the matter to March 18 for hearing. The post Court bars Kano anti-graft agency from probing Emir Sanusi appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
