Eagles invitee Ehizibue to get Nigerian passport ahead AFCON qualifier

Super Eagles invitee, Kingsley Ehizibue will get his Nigerian passport this week ahead of this month’s 2021 AFCON double-header against Sierra Leone, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State capital.

Ehizibue who plays for German side FC Cologne is one of the new faces invited for the qualifier by head coach Gernot Rohr.

The 24-year-old holds a Dutch passport and has never been to Nigeria having been born in Germany.

Heracles Almelo striker Cyriel Dessers is the other new invitee and he got his green Nigerian passport only recently.

This season, Ehizibue has a goal in 22 appearances in the Bundesliga and Cologne are 10th on the table.
