French midfielder Adrien Rabiot returns to Juventus today and responded to the criticism with a message on social media.
The former Paris Saint-Germain man has been targeted for his unwillingness to return after quarantine and was expected to stay in France until a set date for the resumption in Serie A.
“When you realise it’s your last day on… strike!” he wrote in a story on Instagram, joking about the criticism in recent weeks.
RTL France reporter Philippe Sanfourche has claimed Rabiot “believes he has not made any mistakes”, but the reports in Italy seem certain he will be available on the market this summer.

La Stampa underlines that the midfielder ignored the unofficial call to return to Juventus on May 3 and as the 25-year-old travels from the French Riviera today, his future at the Old Lady is uncertain.
Il Corriere Torino suggests he could end up in the Premier League and points out that his salary of €7m a year gives Juventus as many reasons to consider cutting their ties to the former France international.
