Liverpool take a knee to protest Floyd’s death

Liverpool take a knee to protest Floyd’s death

Liverpool’s squad members posed for a photo in support of George Floyd, who was killed by police in Minneapolis.

The current Premier League leaders and Champions League holders gathered around the centre circle at Anfield, taking a knee to show their support.

The gesture was popularised in 2016 by former NFL star Colin Kaepernick, who knelt during the USA’s national anthem.
