Ozil to launch own merchandise brand

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is planning to launch his own merchandise brand.

Ozil’s current deal with adidas is set to expire in the summer.

German reports claimed adidas decided not to renew their 7½-year deal with the Gunners star, 31, over his public image.

But Ozil – who refused a coronavirus pay cut on his £350,000-a-week wage – insists the deal was not renewed as he hopes to develop his own M10 brand.

The German’s agent Erkut Sogut said: “There is no termination, the contract is running out.”
