Ex-Liverpool striker Baros announces retirement

Former Liverpool striker, Milan Baros, has announced his retirement.

With Banik Ostrava for the past three seasons, the former Liverpool and Olympique Lyon striker has said goodbye to football.

“The head would like to go on, but the body asks me to stop.

“I have too many tendon problems and I can’t play or train anymore,” Baros, 38, said.

In 2005 Baros won the Champions League with the Reds and a year earlier he took the Czech Republic to the Euro semifinals then won by Greece.
