Luis Suarez is so in awe of Lionel Messi that he has no problem kicking his other half to the kerb.
The South American pair have a very good relationship on and off the pitch, so much so that Messi is allowed to ride in the front seat of Suarez’s car while his wife, Sofia Balbi, has to settle for the backseat.
That’s exactly what happened last night at an event hosted by Jordi Alba last year. The whole Barca squad turned out along with staff and their families.

Suarez and Messi travelled together and this picture of them on their way to the party at the Hotel Sofia is just brilliant.
It’s only right that a six-time Ballon d’Or winner gets to go in the front but we hope for Sofia’s sake that Messi’s Mrs, Antonella Roccuzzo, was keeping her company in the back.
Lionel Messi has 200 more goals than the second and third highest goalscorer ever in Barcelona's history. He averages 0.86 goal per gam than Cesar Rodriguez 2nd place and 3rd place Luis Suarez whose average is 0.65 and 0.70 despite playing more. Greatness pic.twitter.com/X3RsQsJEaQ

Messi and Suarez are arguably the deadliest duo in world football but it took a simple but effective tactical tweak that got the very best out of them both.
In a difficult game away at Suarez’s old team Ajax, the two swapped roles and after a conversation during the game between the two of them – as well as Enrique giving his blessing – they stuck at it and the rest is history.
Suarez told SPORT: “They sat really deep and of course, with Leo in that position, he wasn’t finding much space and they put me in there. We made two really good plays and when I was about to go back out wide, Leo said:’If you want, you can stay here.’

“As if he was asking me. I stayed in that position and it was later Luis Enrique who decided, after speaking to all three of us, to stick with it. “Would you like to keep playing that way?” With me as the ‘9’. We all said yes. And that’s how it stayed.”
The combination play between the two South Americans ever since has been glorious, with Barca scoring countless goals through Messi coming in off the right flank and threading through Suarez.
