Former Barcelona president urges Pique to stop panicking

Former Barcelona president, Joan Gaspart, has urged Gerard Pique to rethink his reaction after their 8-2 Champions League thrashing by Bayern Munich.

Pique offered to quit after the shock result.

But Gaspart reasoned: “Regarding what Pique said, I’m not in agreement.

“Pique is a Barca legend and has years ahead of him. There’s a strong football youth base and veterans with immense quality, like Leo Messi, and that can give Barca a lot of success. We’ll turn the page and not live the heat of that night because we have to bear the torture.”
