Chelsea boss Frank Lampard must decide whether to start Willy Caballero or Kepa Arrizabalaga in goal against Brighton despite ongoing talks over a deal to sign Edouard Mendy from Rennes,
Caballero got the nod over Arrizabalaga for the final game of last season and the FA Cup Final and it seems more likely the veteran Argentinian will play.
Chelsea will be without new trio Thiago Silva, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell at the Amex.
Silva has been in quarantine since moving to London and was only due to train with Chelsea for the first time over the weekend.
Ziyech will miss start of the season with the knee injury he suffered in a friendly at Brighton, while Chilwell is still recovering from a heel problem.
Christian Pulisic returned to training on Wednesday following the hamstring injury he suffered in the FA Cup Final but he may not be risked.

Cesar Azpilicueta also started training again on Wednesday so Monday may come too soon for him. Mateo Kovacic is suspended.
