Liverpool raised over £65m from recent academy sales

Liverpool have made over £65m from recent sales of academy players, it has been revealed.

The Liverpool Echo reports Rhian Brewster joined Sheffield United for £23.5million this week.

Ki-Jana Hoever left for the next highest fee after Brewster, having joined Wolves for a reported £13.5m this summer.

Hoever made just two senior appearances for Liverpool, playing 170 minutes of football according to figures taken from FBref.com.

Ryan Kent, meanwhile, played just 57 minutes of senior football for the Reds before his £7m move to Rangers.

Rafael Camacho played 91 minutes over two appearances before joining Sporting Lisbon for £5m.

Brad Smith joined Bournemouth for £4.5m despite only making six first-team appearances, Ovie Ejaria transferred to Reading for £3.5m after six appearances, Allan moved to Atlético Mineiro for £3.2m after no appearances, and Andre Wisdom moved to Derby for £3.0m after 18 appearances for Liverpool.

All together, those players left for a total of £65.7m in transfer fees but only made 45 first-team appearances between them, playing a total of 3,207 minutes of football.
