Following the current security crisis rocking Plateau State, the Forum of Presidents of Youth Organisations in the Middle Belt Region has called for the resignation of Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, as Chairman of Northern Governors Forum.
In a communique at the end of the Forum’s conference in Abuja on Friday, the Middle Belt youths insisted that Governor Lalong has failed to coordinate his colleagues to bring a solution to the security challenges in the North.
The youth Presidents also want Lalong to give way for a competent person to lead the Forum.
“The Middle Belt youths call for the resignation of Governor Simon Lalong as Chairman of Northern Governors Forum for failing to coordinate his colleagues to bring a solution to the security challenges in the North and give way for a competent person to lead the forum,” the communique made available to newsmen on Friday said read in part.
