The Jigawa State Government has donated five brand new Toyota Hilux vans to the state Police Command to boost the security situation in the state.
Presenting keys of the vehicles to the state Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Saleh Tafida, the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini, reiterated the government’s commitment to protect the lives and property of its citizens.
Fanini said the present administration is committed to giving any support to the security formations in order to maintain peace and security in the state.
He said the state has been described as one of the most peaceful states in the country.
The SSG noted that the state government under the leadership of Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar will do anything possible to protect the lives of citizens.
Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Saleh Tafida, commended the state government for the gesture and assured that the vehicles will put to good use.
