In a bid to ensure maximum security during the yuletide period, the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, has disclosed its plan to embark on a massive search of vehicles within the state.
The Amotekun Corps also emphasised that its operatives will also be involved in personal identification exercises as part of moves to checkmate activities of criminals.
According to the Commander of the Corps in the state, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, the exercise would be done in conjunction with the other security agencies in the state.
While stating that the exercise will commence on Monday, December 6, 2021, Adeleye maintained that the aim was to ensure improved security in the state and as well ensure safety.
He added that the move became imperative due to intelligence reports at the disposal of the corps.
“Beginning from today, we will have men of the Amotekun Corps stationed all over the state in some strategic positions.
“There will be massive searching and checking of vehicles and this is due to intelligent reports. I enjoin the general public to cooperate with us.” he said.
“Members of the public are advised to always carry along their means of Identification, vehicle particulars and tinted glass permit if using one.”
